Crowds, protests, police and other strangeness in shopping centre

Strange happenings all over Port Talbot today. Our team of local bloggers are on the streets following what’s going on. More to come later.

This farce is a mockery of the christian faith. it bears no resemblance to the Original Passion of christ. what a waste of time

How exactly does it “mock” Christianity? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it; simple!

Both are obviously meant to be totally different productions therefore one cannot make a ‘mockery’ of the other.

Do you understand the expressions “modern interpretation” and “loosely based”? I for one have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am not religious but it has caused me to reflect on my understanding of Christian behaviour (faith in humanity, courage in adversity etc) and how it relates to modern living. I have found myself entertaining far more charitable thoughts and exercising far more tolerant behaviour while this has been going on. Perhaps you should try some of the same. Not to mention the fact it has been terrific theatre. And, as the last poster said so succinctly, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Simple as.

Clearly some people have not followed the story – it is about a missing teacher ! This has been a fantastic performance from young and old, professional and amateur.

Allegory, Mr Lweis; Parable, Mr Lewis. Ideas not unknown to either the Christian faith or its founder I sugesst.
